Commonly known as the Government Search and Rescue (GSAR). The GSAR is the most storied and venerable of Marathon’s SAR Class of watches. It is highly sought after from both warfighters and collectors alike.

The Marathon Swiss 41mm Steel Marathon Search and Rescue (SAR) watches were developed to Canadian Government requirements for use in SAR operations. Built to withstand extreme conditions and match the capabilities of the user. First introduced in the early 1990s, they are still in active use today.

This watch is powered by Swiss-made automatic movement SW200 with IncablocTM shock absorbers, high-torque pinions connect the movement to the hands.

The 41mm case is made from 316L stainless steel. Visibility in low light conditions is at the top of its class thanks to the self-contained tritium gas tubes on the hour markers, and all hands. Tritium tubes are self-illuminating, containing an isotope of hydrogen that won't dull down over time like photo luminescent paint, meaning the watch will remain fully legible at all hours.

The watch also features overbuilt bezels for manipulation with gloved hands; screw-in crown and O-ring system for 30ATM water-resistance.
