When first released in the early 2000s, the 41mm SAR-D watch marked the debut of the Marathon SAR (Search and Rescue) line, setting a high standard in tool watches. Known for its distinctive mil-spec Type I dial, this model featured a cyclops date and fully lumed geometric hour markers, ensuring outstanding legibility and maximum visibility both underwater and in low-light conditions.

The new Marathon OSAR-D (Original Search and Rescue with Date) WW194006SS-2001, builds on the strengths of its predecessor, incorporating advancements in SAR technology since its initial launch. Enhanced with upgraded MaraGlo illumination, larger indices, an improved cyclops, and the reliable Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement with Incabloc® Shock Absorber, this watch offers top-tier functionality along with the distinctive style unique to Marathon.

The watch also features overbuilt bezels for manipulation with gloved hands; screw-in crown and O-ring system for 30ATM water-resistance.
